NPI Exemption List for Residents and Interns of Dental and Medical Programs

The use of the NPI Exemption List for residents and interns enrolled in graduate dental and medical programs, and area health education centers will cease on Jan. 31, 2018. Clinical pharmacist practitioners (CPPs) will continue to use the NPI Exemption List until further notice. CPPs should e-mail their name and NPI number to desiree.elekwa-izuakor@dhhs.nc.gov to allow inclusion on the list.

Concerta Tablet Moved to Preferred Status on the Preferred Drug List

N.C. Medicaid has confirmed the indefinite market shortage of two preferred ADHD options (Quillivant XR and Quillichew) on the N.C. Medicaid and N.C. Health Choice Preferred Drug List (PDL).

Due to market access issues caused this shortage, effective Jan. 15, 2018, Concerta Tablet will be will be moved to preferred status on the N.C. Medicaid and N.C. Health Choice PDL.
