Beginning Oct. 15, 2019, North Carolina Medicaid Bulletin articles will be delivered more often and in an online format. The improvements are in response to feedback from providers looking for a flexible way to receive important Medicaid information to better serve beneficiaries and more effectively operate their businesses.

These improvements include:

  • Faster notifications – Articles will be published weekly instead of monthly, ensuring faster access to information.
  • Search feature - Articles will be searchable by category and key words, giving providers the option to search for specific topics, including provider type, medication, procedure, program or date.
  • Content summary – The title of each article will appear with a brief overview of content to enable providers to click if applicable or continue scrolling. Medicaid Bulletin articles dating back to January 2018 have been added to the new online format.
  • Digest – For providers who prefer to review articles monthly, a digest of posted articles will be compiled into a single document, and posted to the Medicaid Bulletin web page and issued through NCTracks.
  • Archive –Searchable Medicaid Bulletin Digests from January 2018 are available online. In addition, Medicaid Bulletins in the traditional format (October 2019 and older) are available in an online archive as PDFs.

NOTE: Due to the transition, October will have a traditional Medicaid Bulletin AND a Bulletin Digest.

  • The October Medicaid Bulletin has articles from September 2019.
  • The October Medicaid Bulletin Digest will be a compilation of online articles posted during October.

NC Medicaid is developing additional enhancements to the Medicaid Bulletin, including an option to request email notifications when an article is posted.

Providers are encouraged to share feedback about the new format.
