NC Medicaid is implementing additional rate increases to continue helping Local Health Departments (LHDs) to serve Medicaid beneficiaries during the COVID-19 public health emergency.
Effective July 1, 2020, LHD Dental services procedure code rates will be increased by 40%.
NC Medicaid will systematically reprocess LHD Dental claims submitted with dates of service on or after July 1, 2020 through the date that the increase goes live in NCTracks (date still to be determined). Providers do not need to resubmit claims for that period to receive the retroactive increases.
NC Medicaid will notify providers through a follow-up bulletin when the rate implementation date and reprocessing date are confirmed.
