Effective July 1, 2020, End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Treatment providers (261QE0700X) were added to the list of eligible providers for Procedure Code J0887, Mircera Injection, Epoetin Beta, 1 Microgram, (FOR ESRD ON DIALYSIS).
To avoid claim denials, use revenue code 0250 when billing J0887 Mircera. You may resubmit denied claims for J0887 Mircera that were billed for dates of service on or after July 1, 2020, for reprocessing.
Please include the National Drug Codes (NDCs), as all drugs administered in the ESRD facility require NDCs and are subject to NDC edits.
