Electronic Visit Verification Soft Launch Ends for PHPs
Effective Nov. 01, 2021, all encounters subject to EVV will require an EVV visit history

Effective Nov. 01, 2021, all encounters subject to EVV will require an EVV visit history.

The Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) soft launch for providers authorized to render personal care services subject to EVV through the prepaid health plan (PHP) payer type will end on Oct. 31, 2021.

All encounters submitted on and after Nov. 1, 2021, will require the EVV evidence to assist with adjudicating the claim. Beginning Dec. 1, 2021, ALL encounters for personal care claims must contain EVV data, regardless of the date of service.

Providers who are not integrated with their EVV vendor must make every attempt to begin integration before Oct. 31, 2021. Providers who have not initiated integration with their EVV vendor before the expiration of the soft launch will not be eligible to seek hardship advances when encounters are denied due to missing EVV data.
