COVID-19 Vaccine Incentives

To encourage more beneficiaries to get COVID-19 vaccinations, NC Medicaid has worked with our managed care Standard Plans (SPs) to offer incentives to members when they get vaccinated. SPs are offering gift cards or cash incentives to help support this effort.

Effective March 1, 2022:

A downloadable version of the COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program Fact Sheet is available.

Providers and care managers are encouraged to share this information with members to support increased vaccination rates in our NC Medicaid population.

Additional COVID-19 resources for members can be found on the COVID-19 Guidance and Resources for Medicaid Beneficiaries webpage.

Value-Added Services for Standard Plan Members

On July 1, 2021, NC Medicaid Managed Care began providing health care services to members through Standard Plans. In addition to regular health benefits, Standard Plans also provide extra benefits at no cost to members. These extra benefits are called value-added services. Members must qualify to receive these services.

Value-added services are a feature of managed care and often not used but can improve members’ health by addressing food insecurity, technology access, transportation and other personal supports.

To learn more about the value-added services each Standard Plan offers, go to the Enrollment Broker Health Plan webpage.
