Effective Jan. 25, 2023, the NC Medicaid Managed Care Billing Guidance for Health Plans is posted publicly on the NC Medicaid website.
This billing guidance supplements clinical policies and Medicaid bulletins. It is designed to reduce provider administrative burden, ensure consistency in provider billing practices for key Medicaid services, and allow for accurate and complete NC Medicaid and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) reporting.
The NC Medicaid Managed Care Billing Guidance will be updated quarterly and each version update which will be posted publicly on the NC Medicaid Health Plan Billing Guidance webpage.
