As part of the rate year 2023 Payment Error Rate Measurement (PERM) audit activity, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will offer providers an educational webinar in April 2022. The PERM audit was announced to providers in October 2021.
All Medicaid and NC Health Choice (Children's Health Insurance Program or CHIP) providers are encouraged to attend a webinar session to better understand the PERM audit process and provider requirements during the audit period. The webinar will be offered on three dates; the content will be the same each time. Topics include:
- PERM process overview and timelines
- Provider responsibilities during a PERM review
- Reminders, frequent mistakes and best practices
- Electronic submission of medical documentation

- Tuesday, April 12, 2022, 1-2 p.m. ET
- Wednesday, April 13, 2022, 3-4 p.m. ET
- Thursday, April 14, 2022, 4-5 p.m. ET
