Ambulance Services
Ambulance services provide medically necessary treatment for Medicaid recipients.
- Ambulance providers must be licensed by the state
- Services include emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport by ground and air
- Patients must be transported in a vehicle that has been inspected and issued a permit by the state
- Transport is provided only if other means of transportation cannot support the patient’s medical state
