In the May 2019 Special Bulletin, Procedures Billable by Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities (IDTF), NC Medicaid stated that coverage for 825 additional procedure codes for IDTFs would take effect June 1, 2019.
Until system changes are completed, claims submitted for dates of service on or after June 1, 2019, may deny for invalid taxonomy or pend for “no fee on file.”
- Pended claims will recycle and pay when system changes are completed. No additional action will be required by providers to ensure that claims process and pay correctly after system changes are completed.
- Denied claims and Medicare crossover claims will need to be resubmitted when system changes are completed.
A notification will be sent once system changes are completed.
