NC Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy 3L, State Plan Personal Care Services, is being amended to reflect the federal requirement of Section 12006 of the 21st Century Cures Act, implementation of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for Personal Care Services (PCS). Revisions reflect that EVV services are required and how NC Medicaid will implement EVV for PCS.
The policy is posted for a 45-day public comment period Jan. 8, 2021, through Feb. 22, 2021. Visit NC Medicaid’s Proposed Medicaid and NC Health Choice Policies webpage and click on “3L, State Plan Personal Care Services” to review the proposed policy amendments and provide comments and suggestions.
