Clinical Coverage Policy 3L, Personal Care Services is being amended to reflect the federal requirement of Section 12006 of the 21st Century Cures Act, implementation of Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for personal care services. Revisions reflect the requirement and how NC Medicaid will implement EVV for State Plan Personal Care Services.
The policy was posted for 45-day public comment period on Jan. 8, 2021 through Feb. 22. 2021. The public comment period is extended through March 15, 2021, to allow stakeholders additional time to comment on the proposed changes related to EVV and the PCS service calendar. PCS stakeholders may review the proposed policy amendments and provide comments and suggestions on NC Medicaid’s Proposed Medicaid and NC Health Choice Polices web page.
