This bulletin was modified on April 20, 2022, to change the effective date of the NC Innovations Waiver Clinical Coverage Policy (CCP) 8P from April 15, 2022 to May 1, 2022.
NC Medicaid received approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to increase NC Innovations Waiver capacity by 1,000 slots.
- 400 new slots are effective March 1, 2022.
- 600 new slots are effective July 1, 2022.
The local management entities-managed care organizations (LME-MCOs) have been notified of the slot increases and are working to fill those slots. The NC Innovations Waiver Clinical Coverage Policy (CCP) 8P, has been updated effective May 1, 2022. It is posted on the NC Medicaid Behavioral Health Clinical Policies web page.
