This bulletin is to announce the proposed renewed Community Alternatives Program for Children (CAP/C) § 1915 Home and Community-based Services Waiver application was submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in late December 2022 to begin the review and approval phase.
CMS has 90 days from the date of receipt of the application to review and approve the application. CMS can officially request additional information, which can extend the 90-day review period. NC Medicaid hopes to have the CAP/C waiver approved for an additional five-year approval cycle on or before April 2023.
