2024 Survey Reports Released

In recent months, NC Medicaid has published three survey reports that detail the experiences of beneficiaries and providers in North Carolina during 2024.

NC Medicaid, in partnership with Health Services Advisory Group, Inc. (HSAG), administered the 2024 Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey to assess adult and child beneficiaries’ health care experiences. Beneficiary respondents provided actionable health care performance feedback that will aid in improving overall care for NC Medicaid beneficiaries. The full report can be found here and the two-page summary can be found here.

NC Medicaid released the results of the 2024 Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) CAHPS Survey. This survey was administered in partnership with HSAG and gathered direct feedback from adult beneficiaries about their experiences with the care received and quality of the home and community-based services they received. The full report can be found here and the two-page summary can be found here.

The North Carolina Provider Experience Survey was developed in partnership with the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research to evaluate the influence of NC Medicaid Transformation on primary care and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) practices that contract with Medicaid. The 2024 survey was administered across all North Carolina independent primary care practices, medical groups and health care systems that provide primary care or Ob/Gyn care. Providers were asked about contracting with Standard Plans, overall perceived effects of Standard Plans on care delivery and experiences with clinical and administrative factors. The full report can be found here and the two-page summary can be found here.
