North Carolina Medicaid has updated the fax number for the NC Medicaid Due Process/Appeals Unit. This unit is responsible for reviewing claim payments or denials initially submitted to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT). This unit provides state fair hearing rights to the NCDHHS Hearing Office.
When to Use This Fax Number
Providers will utilize the updated fax number to request a review of claim payments or denials issued by GDIT. The Due Process/Appeals Unit fax number is effective as of July 15, 2026.

The NC Medicaid Due Process/Appeals Unit fax number has changed. Providers should begin using the updated number immediately.
