To streamline and make the NC Medicaid auditing process more efficient, all providers selected for quarterly NC Medicaid internal audits will be notified only using the QiRePort Provider Interface. This change modernizes the process of this audit, while maintaining the integrity of the audit process.
- Providers selected for quarterly audits will receive their notification within QiRePort on the Referrals/Notifications for Review screen.
- All selected providers must formally acknowledge receipt of this notification within the system.
- Only users with administrative rights are permitted to acknowledge this notification.
Providers will continue to submit requested audit documentation directly to NCDHHS following the instructions in the notification. Please note that other than the NC Medicaid 3085 and NC Medicaid 3136 forms, no audit documents will be uploaded into QiRePort.
This change will go into effect the week of Sept. 14, 2026.
