NC Medicaid Direct Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Dashboard

More than 80,000 people in North Carolina use NC Medicaid Direct Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) each month to get extra help with their health care. These services help people get care in their homes and communities instead of moving to a nursing home.

LTSS includes different kinds of help. Some people get hands-on support, while others need more skilled care. People approved by NC Medicaid for LTSS can get services like personal care, home health, private duty nursing, or care in a nursing home. Some also get home and community-based services through a program called a 1915(c) waiver, which helps them stay at home.

The LTSS Dashboard shows how people use these services. It includes data on:

  • Personal Care Services (PCS)
  • Community Alternatives Programs for:
    • Children (CAP/C)
    • Disabled Adults (CAP/DA)
  • People moving from Medicaid Managed Care to NC Medicaid Direct
  • Nursing home residents who are exploring home and community-based services
  • Private duty nursing in both NC Medicaid Direct and NC Managed Care

The dashboard shows data pulled at the start of each month, based on how services were used the month before. Sometimes, not all data is shown because of delays or program rules. Also, to protect people’s privacy, some numbers may be hidden or shown as < 11.
