With state budget negotiations ongoing, NCDHHS has worked with CMS to negotiate a compromise to begin submitting documents needed for federal approval to launch Medicaid expansion on October 1, 2023.

NC Medicaid is continuing the extension of the temporary/interim estimated legislative rate increases.

Includes provider recredentialing/reverification, billing requirement modifications, Tailored Plan implementation, upcoming key milestones, playbook updates and more.

All Home Health Care providers are expected to be fully compliant with requirements on Oct. 1, 2023.

Effective with date of service May 15, 2023, NC Medicaid covers pegfilgrastim-pbbk injection, for subcutaneous use (Fylnetra).

Effective with date of service April 21, 2023, NC Medicaid covers paclitaxel protein-bound particles for injectable suspension, (albumin-bound)

Updates include updated policies on Acuity Tiers, Acuity-Based Contacts and Contact Monitoring.

Effective with date of service April 17, 2023, NC Medicaid covers bevacizumab-adcd injection, for intravenous use (Vegzelma)

Effective May 30, 2023, NC Medicaid covers aripiprazole extended-release injectable suspension, for intramuscular use (Abilify Asimtufii).
