A Credentialing Committee will be established and will be responsible for reviewing NC Medicaid practitioner files that contain flagged items for disposition of their enrollment, reenrollment and recredentialing applications as well as issues discovered through ongoing monitoring.

This will apply to all providers contracted with NC Medicaid, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Use Services (DMH/DD/SUS), Division of Public Health (DPH), Office of Rural Health (ORH) and all NC Medicaid Managed Care health plans. The tentative launch date for the Credentialing Committee is Fall 2025.

The public meetings will cover the following agenda items: call to order, review of previous minutes and review of open action items, review of statistics from clean and low risk files approved the prior week.

All remaining business to include ongoing monitoring findings and medium/high-risk profiles will be reviewed in a closed session to prevent the disclosure of information that is privileged or confidential pursuant to the law of this State and/or the United States.  

Meeting Frequency

The Credentialing Committee will meet every Wednesday on a weekly basis. The public portion of the meeting will take place from 11:45 a.m.- noon, followed by the closed session from noon - 1 p.m.
