Effective Dec. 31, 2021, NC Medicaid will end several of the temporary COVID-19 rate increases. Some of the rate increases in effect in December 2021 will be extended – at either current or revised levels - through Jan. 31, 2022.
In order to ensure optimal access to care for NC Medicaid beneficiaries and to support providers during the recent COVID-19 surge, NC Medicaid is extending the Hospital at Home program through March 31, 2022.

Effective with date of service Aug. 23, 2021, the Medicaid and NC Health Choice programs cover pneumococcal 20-valent conjugate vaccine for use in the PADP when billed with HCPCS code 90677.
Effective with date of service Sept. 22, 2021, the Medicaid and NC Health Choice programs cover tisotumab vedotin-tftv for use in the PADP when billed with HCPCS code J9999.
