Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Tracking Spreadsheet
Per State Medicaid policy MA-2910/3550, Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) policy includes the requirement of county self-auditing of a random sample of 2 percent of trips, or 200 trips (whichever is less), per calendar quarter. With NEMT self-auditing, there is a quarterly reporting requirement to submit the DHB NEMT Tracking Spreadsheet to NC Medicaid.

NOTE: Please be advised REDA Round 3 for Cycle 1 counties will be initiated on August 1, 2025. Cycle 1 counties should refer to the updated PDF presentation, with a July 2025 posting date, for revisions to the audit timeline. The dates and timeline approach referenced in the June 2025 Webinar Video and Presentation have been adjusted as noted in the July update. However, the June webinar video remains available as it provides other valuable information to assist County DSS agencies achieve accuracy in the administration of the Medicaid program.
