Anesthesia Services

Anesthesia services (general and monitored) include:

• Usual pre-operative and post-operative visits
• Anesthesia services during the procedure
• Administration of fluids and/or blood
• Usual monitoring services, such as:
  • ECG
  • temperature
  • blood pressure
  • oximetry
  • capnography
  • mass spectrometry

These services will not be reimbursed separately unless they are unrelated and providers bill with modifier 59. Certain procedures may be performed by the anesthesiologist and are allowed separate reimbursement without providers appending modifier 59.
