A long-term care hospital (LTCH) is a special kind of hospital for people who have serious or complex medical problems. It provides care, testing and rehabilitation services for patients who are very sick and often have more than one health condition.
LTCH Services
LTCHs offer services like:
- Rehabilitation programs
- Respiratory Therapy
- Cancer Treatment
- Head Injury Care
- Pain Management
Most Patients stay in an LTCH for more than 25 days.
Eligibility
To be eligible for LTCH services a person must be enrolled in the NC Medicaid program.
